I received an e-mail stating that the USDA has decided to do away with the NAIS. So I checked a few other sites and it looks like this may finally be happening. Might be replaces with something even worse, but at least they will have to go about differently........
(sorry if this has already been posted)

forgot the link.....oops

I read that other thread on BHW.  NAIS might be done for now...but I don't think we should turn our backs on it and count it done.

It speaks of still wanting to revise it but to include only interstate commerce.

As the SO pointed out...What animal doesn't travel interstate commerce anymore?  It isn't like animals are herded cross-country to their "end destination". No...they are loaded up on vehicles and taken on interstate commerce...

Same sneaky stuff as the National Healthcare Plan.  Or maybe the new bill being introduced in OK that looks to very tightly regulate drug use in animals.

What is going on???
